This Sunday’s message Dr. Michael Maiden walks us through the pain, process, and purpose of Joseph’s life. What others meant for evil, God rewove into destiny. Joseph’s story is not a fairytale escape it’s a deep dive into betrayal, silence, injustice, and ultimately, redemption. Through every prison and every promotion, Joseph learned to trust the invisible thread of God's intention. God never lost sight of His plan, even when Joseph lost sight of His presence.
Destiny Begins When We Dream
- Now Joseph had a dream... and they hated him more. Genesis 37:5-9
- Joseph’s dreams offended his brothers but offended destiny is often destined.
- When God speaks, even before the miracle, opposition arises. That’s not resistance, it’s prelude.
- By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established. 2 Corinthians 13:1
- Confirmation is Kingdom protocol a spiritual echo worth paying attention to.
- When God repeats something, it’s not redundant, it’s confirmation.
- God said He would pour out His Spirit in the last days, and dreams, visions, prophecy would flood His people again. Acts 2:17-18
People Can Steal Your Physical Possessions, But They Can Never Steal Your Heavenly Destiny.
- Joseph lost his robe, his reputation, his freedom. But not his anointing.
- The plot to destroy him failed to stop the promise.
- His calling was intention not easily erased.
- Your calling is covenant not coat. Others' hands can strip garments but they can’t sever destiny.
FORGIVE Your Way Out of Prison!
- Joseph named his sons not after bitterness but after breakthrough: Manasseh (forgetting), Ephraim (fruitfulness). Genesis 41:51–52
- Forgiveness is not amnesia, but Kingdom memory redemption.
- When we forgive the people who have hurt us, God makes us forget the pain they have caused us.
- Your release from prison is through forgiveness, not revenge. When you forgive, God moves the chains—even if the oppressor never repents.
If It’s Not GOOD Yet, It Only Means God’s Not DONE Yet.
- Work together (sunerges) “synergy” collaborate, to cooperate.
- God’s sovereignty doesn’t always feel sequential but every setback was setting-congruent. Romans 8:28
- Even what Samson’s parents didn’t recognize it was ordained for divine alignment. Judges 14:4
- What looks like detour is often layout for destiny.
- God can take the very worst thing that has happened to you and make it become the very best thing He does through you.
- As long as you need vengeance, you’re not ready for destiny.

- What God-given dream have you buried because of fear, delay, or rejection, is God asking you to resurrect it?
- Have you allowed a painful loss to convince you your purpose has been stolen when God never took His hand off your destiny?
- What pain or offense are you still holding onto and what would it look like to release and step into freedom?
- Where in your life does it still feel unfinished or unfair and can you trust that God is still weaving something redemptive?
